2nd Foundation music has just released their latest album 'Pure Percussion', which features several tracks from James including Raring to Go, On Your Marks and Plan of Action.
Upbeat, energetic rhythmic percussion underscores for advertising, reality TV, sports & game shows, featuring powerful drums, cool body percussion & quirky found sounds.
This album was a lot of fun to work on, given we were only able to use combinations of traditional and body percussion. Whereas you might normally rely on melodic/harmonic ideas to create a memorable 'hook' for a track, the challenge with this album was to achieve musical unity and interest throughout a track using only rhythms.
